Hidden Video Cameras
Putting up remote video surveillance is something that I had never expected to do. Nevertheless, there I was, installing hidden video cameras in every nook and corner of my property. I put a hidden video camera in the bushes, a couple under the birch tree, several staring down from the roof, and many more inside the actual house. Whoever had been prowling around my neighborhood was a menace. I had heard that several houses had been broken into, the people who lived there held at gunpoint, and the places ransacked. I hoped that, if I put up some hidden cameras video, I could finally catch this thief. I was sick of living in fear, as was almost everyone in the entire neighborhood.
When I first got the hidden video cameras, I was extremely impressed by how inexpensive they were. You can actually get a hidden video camera for as little as 70 dollars nowadays. Of course, I wanted to get good quality hidden video cameras. You see, I was trying to catch a thief at night. It would be dark, and there would be many shadows where he could hide. Although I put up outdoor lighting as an added precaution, I knew that it would still be hard to catch someone at night. They would cast a hard shadow, and if they were wearing the right kind of hat, it would be very difficult to see their face.
Once I had the hidden video cameras installed, I ran into a problem that I hadn’t thought about. I was almost expecting that, the very first night with the very first hidden video camera, I would catch him on film. I would be a hero. The digital video camera would show his face and the cops would quickly identify him. I would be the brave individual who brought him to justice.
What I didn’t think about was how much footage hidden video cameras would shoot. How could I possibly wade through all of it? What if the thief would come to my house, see the hidden video cameras and lights, and decide to go on somewhere else. In reality, I simply didn’t have enough time to check all of the video camera footage, and the chances of him just walking by were pretty slim anyway. I know I’ll catch him before I’m done!
